Rep. Coble (R-NC 6th) LOVES Paul Wolfowitz!

One of my state’s crazed representatives decided to use his time on the House floor to tell the world how much he loves Paul Wolfowitz, the World Bank President. Even though Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC, 6th district) has no hard facts, he wants to express his adoration of Wolfowitz and he hopes that the World Bank gives him a second chance even though Wolfie lied about Iraq and gave his girlfriend a high paying job. Rep. Coble thinks Wolfie deserves to keep his job and put on a “short, tighter leash.” Coble believes that Wolfowitz’s contributions to society are more important than these “mistakes.” You must be kidding me! One of the leading architects of this disastrous war deserves respect? Old white men have to go!

Update:
From the Greensboro News & Record-
  • "The appropriate World Bank panel may consider attaching a shorter, tighter leash to Mr. Wolfowitz, because the present leash, if there is a leash at all, appears to be inadequate," said Coble, a Democrat from Greensboro.

"His questionable and misguided leadership regarding the Iraqi War, plus the allegations of mismanagement at the World Bank during his watch not withstanding, Paul Wolfowitz has made significant contributions during his years of public service and probably deserves another chance with the afore mentioned leash firmly attached," he continued.

Coble has been a critic of the administration's handling of the Iraq war, and Wolfowitz was one of its key architects.
If Rep. Coble is such a "critic," why isn't he calling for Wolfowitz's resignation?
